Year 3 trip to the Hancock Museum

We had a wonderful day today at the Hancock Museum for both our humanities and science topics. For science we explored the precious gemstones section of the museum and also enjoyed a rocks and minerals workshop. For humanities we explored the early prehistoric section  of the museum and completed activities relating to Stone Age to Iron Age in the North East of England.

We had a creative morning workshop with an artist from the Laing Art Gallery. We worked closely with the artist; learning new artistic skills crucial to creating print inspired by Thomas Bewick’s designs. Choir and Orchestra perform for residents of St Joseph’s Retirement Home.

Choir and Orchestra Spring Disney Concert

On Monday 1st April, Choir and Orchestra performed a concert of Disney pieces.
