School Choir and Orchestra spread Christmas joy to residents of St Joseph’s.

On Wednesday 11th December, children from Year 4, 5 and 6 entertained residents of St Joseph’s retirement home. We have visited the home in the summer term and spring term and it was a pleasure as always to be back. Miss McDonnell conducted the school orchestra which consists of children in Year 4, 5 and 6 playing chime bars, tuned bells and ukuleles. Miss O’Hare conducted the choir of Year 5 and 6. We look forward to visiting again soon.

General Election 2019 in Year 3

Today we discussed the 2019 General Election in Year 3 and even had our own election! We discussed the topic of democracy and what it meant to have the right to vote. Choir and Orchestra Performance at St Joseph’s

Our KS2 choir and orchestra had a wonderful time this morning performing for the residents of St Joseph’s. Year 3 Summer trip to Broxfield Farm.

African Print workshop from the Laing Art Gallery

We had a creative morning workshop with an artist from the Laing Art Gallery. We worked closely with the artist; learning new artistic skills crucial to creating print inspired by Thomas Bewick’s designs.
