Insects in Year 4

To start our new art topic in Year 4, we had an insect workshop with Guy from Bugsnstuff. It was great fun and very educational. We were introduced to all kinds of insects (plus some that weren’t insects) such as cockroaches, beetles, moths and spiders. We found out about what makes an insect an insect, why they are so important to our ecosystems as well as lots of interesting facts about each one. Guy let us hold some of them and we even got to stroke a tarantula’s legs. It was very exciting.
