Traditional Tales in Nursery

This term Nursery have been focusing on traditional tales.  So far we have covered Goldilocks and the Three Bears, The Three Little Pigs and The Gingerbread Man. We have carried out lots of fun activities, across all curricular areas, related to each story.

Goldilocks & the Three Bears

We discussed the different characters from the story and painted pictures of them…

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We enjoyed reading the story and re enacting it with the small world puppets…

 

 

 

 

 

We also acted out the story our selves in the role play area and made pretend porridge in the mud kitchen…

 

 

 

 

 

The Nursery children then made and ate real porridge! We made a graph to show who liked and didn’t like the porridge..

 

 

 

 

 

The Three Little Pigs

We made our own houses out of various construction bricks…

 

 

 

 

 

We designed our own houses like the pigs in the story.  We used our plans to help us to make our own model houses with recycled materials!
