Mock Baptism in Year 2

Year 2 planned a special Liturgy in their class this week.

We have been learning all about the signs and symbols of Baptism and we took part in a Mock Baptism in our class  using all of the symbols of Baptism.

We chose parents.

 

The parents chose the name Summer Louise for their baby.

We chose godparents

The rest of the class pretended to be members of the family or parishioners of the church.

Mrs Hagon pretended to be the priest and Baptised the baby with the symbol of water.

Mrs Hagon anointed the baby’s head with water.

The godparents received the symbol of light.

We prayed The Our Father together.

After our Liturgy we celebrated together.
