During Safety Week the Reception children learned how to keep themselves safe from germs by washing their hands carefully. Joanne from the School Health team came and taught us to wash our hands
- After going to the toilet
- After stroking pets
- Before eating a meal
- When they are dirty from playing
- After coughing or sneezing – she even showed us a special way to sneeze so that the germs don’t go onto our hands by making our arms into an elephant trunk and sneezing into the crook of our elbow.
The we learned the proper way to wash our hands making sure that the front and back of our hands are clean as well as inbetween our fingers and around our thumbs.
Lets hope all this good advise keeps the Reception children fit and well during the coming months.
