Last Thursday, Years 3 and 4 had a fantastic day out at Broxfield farm, Alnwick.
The day consisted of lots of fun as well as learning about how a farm works and how the farmer makes his money!
After a game of hide and seek in the wheat fields and tractor ride around the field with the bull, we stopped for lunch in Mr Thompson’s back garden. We took in lovely views as we ate however the wasps were a little bit annoying!
In the afternoon, we had a session in the forest where we completed a mystery trail before making our very own woodland creatures. Some of us built shelters for our creatures to live in, whilst others brought them back to school.
We used the creation of these creatures as the basis for our creative writing on Friday about a magical creature.
It was a brilliant day out and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone!
