For The Greater Good

St Lawrence’s School has celebrated the beginning of Lent by looking at the Pope’s encyclical Laudato Si about looking after the world in which we live.

Each class has made a promise about how we can improve the world in which we live in.

Each class told the rest of the school what they promise to do in Lent. Year 6 plan to pick up litter in Lent, Years 1 and 2 are going to up-cycle clothing and other classes are planning random acts of kindness.

Some children sold cakes to raise money for Cafod.

Each class is making a prayer chain, one prayer will be read in class each day in Lent.
