Year 3 Visit to Beamish

Today we had a wonderful trip to Beamish Museum! We were transported back in time to the Victorian era, as we dressed up as Victorian school children. We experienced a Victorian lesson where we had to work completely in silence! We visited some houses in the village and learnt about traditional rug and blanket making. Next we took a tram ride into the town and visited the bakery, the chemists, the co-op, the garage and finally the sweet shop! We travelled by tram and really got to experience life as a Victorian child.
