First Aid Training!

Years 5 & 6 learnt vital lifesaving skills to help keep friends and family safe.

Sarah, from Mini First Aid, taught us how to deal with situations from minor cuts all the way to helping someone who is unconscious.

The children practiced chest compressions on dummies, how to help someone who is choking, as well as using bandages on cuts or broken bones.

She also reminded the pupils that it was vital to get adult help or ring 999.

The session was part of St Lawrence’s ‘Safety Week’ that aims to give children some of the skills they need to stay safe in the modern world.
