Beautiful Bamburgh

Year 2 had a wonderful visit to the Grace Darling Museum in Bamburgh yesterday as part of our history work on famous people.

We took part in a workshop at the Museum.

We enjoyed looking around the museum and we saw the real coble which Grace and her father used for the rescue.

We saw the house where Grace Darling was born.

We looked around St Aidan’s Church where Grace was baptised and found the special monument to Grace which looks out to sea.

We ate our lunch right next to Bamburgh Castle and enjoyed playing games on a huge field.

It was a fantastic day, we were all very tired on the home!
