Evacuated to Beamish Farm

As part of our WW2 topic, we were whisked back in time to 1942 and evacuated to Home Farm, Beamish.

We worked on the farm, making carrot cookies, taping up windows in preparation for the blackout and helping the farmer care for the animals.

We also took part in some drill activities in case there was an invasion.

At the end of the day, we wrote letters home to our families to let them know how we were getting on.
