Anti-smoking talk

Year 6 had a very important talk from the school nurse about the dangers of smoking.

The class have been learning in science about how their heart and lungs work but have now also been made aware about how cigarettes can cause terrible damage.

This not only includes problems if they are silly enough to smoke themselves when they are older but also problems caused by passive smoking, especially to children with asthma.

Pupils put their maths skills to the test and found smoking 20 a day costs over £4,000 a year!
