Year 2 invited their parents into class today to take part in a workshop about multiples. We counted out a hundred of a variety of items and then counted the items into multiples of; ten, five and two. We used what we learnt to solve a number of problems. Continue Reading
Year 2 visited The Laing Art Gallery today. We took part in a workshop in The Portrait Gallery looking at the stories and emotions behind the paintings. We made some large pictures depicting the story of Jack and The Beanstalk. We had a wonderful day. Continue Reading

Year 6 got the opportunity to learn about keeping safe in the community during their fantastic trip to Safety Works. The children met with members of Northumbria Police, Tyne & Wear Fire Service, Nexus and St John’s Ambulance, amongst others, to get practical tips on how stay safe. Year 2 enjoyed taking part in a Hobby Day in school as part our work about Ourselves. We enjoyed sharing information about our hobbies with the rest of the class and showing our skills. We were happy to welcome back our wonderful Open The Book team this week in school. This week they told the story of Jesus’ Special Friends and acted out the story with beautiful props. Dale Brown – our School Safeguarding Officer from Operation Encompass at Northumbria Police came in to school today to work with Y6. He helped us to think about healthy and unhealthy relationships.
