Year 2 visit to The Gateshead Heritage centre
Year 2 concluded their History Unit about The Great Fire of Newcastle and Gateshead by visiting The Gateshead Heritage Centre.
We learnt all about how and where the fire began.
We crossed the River Tyne via the Tyne Bridge and looked at all of the bridges across the Tyne.
We crossed onto the Newcastle side of the River and looked at where the fire spread to. We acted out the houses being pulled down to stop the fire.
After our workshop we looked at the Sage and all of the buildings around the Sage.
What a wonderful day! We learnt such a lot.
