Year 6 St James’ Park Visit

Year 6 took part in a fantastic event at St James’ Park organised by the charity Show Racism the Red Card.

The children took part in workshops about recognising hate crime and stereotypes, as well as completing a tour of the ground.

They were able to look inside the changing rooms, and media centre, as well as have their photos taken in the dug-outs.

In the afternoon they presented ideas about how they could help deal with the problem of racism in society – encouraging people to report any problems to a trusted adult or the police.

Former Newcastle players John Anderson and John Beresford, as well as NUFC academy graduate Michael Ndiweni, also helped out and loved meeting the children.
