Dog’s Trust Visit St Lawrence’s

We were visited by Rachel from the Dog’s Trust. Following a whole school assembly with Rachel, she then came to our classes to talk about safety around dogs. She gave us five dog rules:

1 If a dog is sleeping, leave them alone.

2. If a dog is eating, leave them alone.

3. Try to be quiet around dogs.

4. Dogs don’t like hugs, they like gentle strokes.

5. Don’t take a toy from a dog, tell an adult.

Now we know how to act safely around dogs. Thank you Rachel for coming to visit us today!
