An Audiologist visits Y4

We were very lucky today to have a visit from Claire, an audiologist from the team at NE1 Hear at the Freeman Hospital. Claire talked about the different parts of the ear, let us try a bone-mounted hearing aid, taught us how to look after our hearing and even showed us the inside of one of our ears! She also answered some of our questions about what she likes about her job and how to become an audiologist.

Thank you Claire, this was a wonderful way to continue our current unit on ‘Sound’ in science, and also a great chance to look back at our ‘Changing Jobs’ unit in humanities.
