St Lawrence Team Up with Avondale House Veterans

On Wednesday 8 July, the Year 6 children of St Lawrence’s RC Primary School teamed up with the Armed Forces Veterans who currently reside in Avondale House.

The children and veterans worked industriously to clear some old shrubbery on ground that the school has recently adopted on Headlam Street and Spires Lane.

It was fantastic to see such collaboration in our community for the benefit of everybody. The grounds look much better now and will serve as a platform for us to develop them further and improve the environment surrounding the school.

We were delighted with the results and certainly couldn’t have done it without the help of our friends from Avondale House.
