Year 6 paint like Turner
<p>To celebrate the arrival of JMW Turner’s ‘The Fighting Temeraire’ at Newcastle’s Laing art gallery, Year 6 researched Turner’s watercolour ‘The Sun at Venice’ and tried their hands at producing a watercolour of school with some of Turner’s sense of light. Y6 meet royalty
<p>Some lucky children in Year 6 had the chance to meet TRH the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester. Their Royal Highnesses were visiting the Veterans Launchpad charity in Byker, who work with veterans of the armed forces.
