Autumn 1 Music in Year 2

This half term, Year 2 have been learning the song, ‘Hands, Feet, Heart’ by Joanna Mangona. This song celebrates South African music.. Whilst listening to this music we have been moving our bodies, creating our own dances and expressing how the music makes us feel. We have also been learning about what voices and instruments we can hear in the music and we have even been composing some of our own tunes. Whilst singing ‘Hands, Feet, Heart’, Year 2 have been very good at singing this song in 2 parts. We have been learning about Call & Response and using this when we perform this song.
