Autumn 2: Year 4 Music – Glockenspiel

This term we have been learning the Glockenspiel. We have learnt the notes C, D, E, F and G. We have been using these notes in the songs we have been learning. We have been learning about note lengths and recognising them in different pieces of music. Year 4 have been learning how to read music notation. We have learnt about minims and crotchets and even made our own sums with note lengths. We have been good at working out when to rest and when to play, when looking at sheet music. This is something we will keep working on, but we have made a great start to learning how to read music.
