Belsay Penpals visit Year 2!

Year 2 continued their exciting Linking Project with Belsay School today by inviting our penpals to visit St. Lawrence’s.

Our penpals arrived at 10 o clock this morning and we greeted then with welcome posters and a cheery chant of;

“Welcome to St. Lawrence’s Belsay School”

Our first activity was to take part in our weekly; Open The Book Assembly.

We enjoyed playing outside with our friends from Belsay School.

 We made handprints and stuck them onto a friendship tree.

We showed our friends around Byker. They enjoyed looking at the amazing view of the River and the Bridges.

We were sad to say goodbye to our lovely friends but we know that we will see them all again very soon!
