Care Home kindness!

During lock down a number of children who have been attending school have been showing great kindness and compassion to the residents at a local care home.

The boys and girls who have been in school for the last seven weeks have been writing to the residents at Carntyne Care Home where Mrs Hagon’s mum lives. The residents have not seen their families for over two months now and Mrs Hagon thought that it might be a nice idea to try to cheer them up by sending them letters.

The children have put a lot of care into choosing a resident to write to, we have made cards, bookmarks, prayers and rainbows for the residents.

The residents have been delighted to receive the letters and cards and it has really cheered them up.

The residents have written back to the children.

This has been a lovely exchange of kind thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
