Liturgical Prayer in KS1

Year 1 and Year 2 planned a beautiful Liturgical Prayer for their parents around the theme of Lent.

We prepared our focal area and explained to our parents the significance of each item that we laid on the table.

We planned our whole Liturgical Prayer ourselves including our favourite hymns. We planned each section and we invited our families to pray and sing with us.

We told our families about all of the things that we had been doing in Lent including our CAFOD Lenten Walk.

In Lent we have focussed on the Stations of the Cross as a school. We have all learnt more about the journey that Jesus took in Holy Week. At the end of our Liturgy we planned a mission for our parents to go forth; we took our families around the Stations of the Cross outside in our Prayer Garden, praying at each station.
