Music meets Technology for Year 6

Year 6 had an amazing day with the Music Hands project creating their own work using the latest technology.
We spent the morning experimenting on ipads with apps such as Garageband, Launchpad, Blockswave and Figure. This included trying lots of new instruments and then using them in our own music.
Everyone loved having the chance to experiment with different sounds and also the opportunity to play their creations to other people.
In the afternoon we listened to the compositions of John Williams – including Harry Potter, Jaws and Star Wars – before attempting our own creations. We chose either scary, mysterious or adventure categories and adapted our instrumentation and how we used it accordingly.
