Reading Together: A Wonderful Nursery Workshop

Our Nursery children were delighted to welcome their parents and carers into school for a special Parent Workshop and Stay and Play session focused on the importance of sharing books together.

The workshop highlighted how reading with children from a young age helps to develop their language, imagination and love of stories. It was wonderful to see so many families engaging with this and supporting their child’s early learning.

During the Stay and Play, the children thoroughly enjoyed having their adults in the classroom. There was a lovely buzz of excitement as families explored a range of books together, shared favourite stories and took part in small world play linked to texts. The children were especially proud to show their adults around their learning environment and join in with storytelling.

Thank you to all the parents and carers who attended and made the session such a success. We hope it has inspired lots more cosy story times at home!
