Y5 Countryside Visit

As part of our extremely well valued partnership with The Countryside Trust, Y5 got to visit Matfen Farm on 20 March. It is lambing season, so the children got to see Malcolm, the farm’s shepherd in action. We were fortunate enough to see a number of live births even though it is early in the season.

We were then hosted by Lord and Lady Blackett who showed us around their farm. We got to see the chickens and learn about the life cycle as well as getting to look around the Church on the site which is over 1000 years old!
