Year 3 Trip to Broxfield Farm

Year 3 had a wonderful time today at Broxfield farm in Northumberland. We started the day by feeding some cows and learning different facts, including different types and names of cows. We then ventured into the fields and saw learnt how a combine harvester cuts the ears of wheat ready to be processed. We had a go at extracting the seeds itself – Mr Thompson made it look easy! Finally we explored the forest overlooking the farm and enjoyed a nature treasure hunt. Thank you so much Mr Thompson for a wonderful day at your farm!
