A Visit from an Optician in Year 3!

Today we were very lucky to have a visit from Angela who works as an optician. We are studying Light in our science topic, and what a wonderful way to find out about how the sun helps us but can also be dangerous. She told us all about how to look after our eyes but also how to keep safe in the sun. We learnt about UVA and UVB rays and looked at a model of the inside of an eye. It was so useful to learn from Angela today, especially as we are experiencing a heatwave!
