Judaism Week in Year 3: The Synagogue.

Yesterday we learnt about the synagogue, the place of worship for people of the Jewish faith. After learning about the key features of the synagogue, today we designed our own synagogues in groups using large paper and pictures of the key features including; the Torah, Ark, Bimah, Yad, Rabbi and Tallit. We discussed what it would be like to visit a synagogue for the first time and wondered about how it is different to our church.
