Our Trip to the Rising Sun Country Park

Year 1 had a fabulous trip to the Rising Sun Country Park. We started our day looking at signs of Winter and Spring and then went on the do a mini-beast hunt. We put the mini beasts we found into special viewing pots and were careful to put the minibeasts back where we found them when our activity had finished.

Soon it was time to make winter animals that you would find in the woods. We made these out of clay and added features using twigs and leaves that we had found. Following this, we made little homes for our clay woodland creatures.

We had such a great trip and can’t wait for our next adventure!
