Newly elected members of the School Council and Eco Squad were invited to the Wild Roots Community Garden to take part in a sound garden workshop. The children listened to their surroundings and then went on to make a junk orchestra, playing their music in the woodland. With specialist equipment, they then listened to the sounds made in a pond – the munching snail and noisy plants had us all guessing!
Finally, the children took part in a pond dip. They observed the wildlife and tried to identify the creatures.
We had a fantastic morning and can’t wait to return in the Spring!
