Y4 DT: making and evaluating our flavoured breads

It was the climax of Year 4’s design and technology unit on flavoured bread today. We spent most of the morning mixing, kneading and proving the bread, before we shaped and added our special ingredients. Our extra ingredients included nutella, spicy sausage, whipped cream, crisps and halal gummy bears. Gillian our school cook baked the bread buns over lunchtime and then we were able to evaluate our breads on appearance, smell, texture and taste, just like we did in our market research at the start of the unit. We had a fantastic time and we can see we have a number of future Bake-Off winners in class. Well done everyone!
