Year 2 ; Awe and Wonder in Science.

Year 2 have been enjoying learning all about colour this week. As part of this, we have been carrying out two exciting Science experiments where we observed what happens to colours when they are mixed in two different ways.

Firstly we looked at how colours can be absorbed using food colouring in the three Primary colours and using absorbent paper. The colours joined in the middle and made the secondary colours.

We then mixed food colouring with milk and added washing up liquid, we found that the washing up liquid bonded with the milk and pushed the colours out.

It was a really exciting afternoon and we learnt such a lot.
