Year 3 Summer Trip to Broxfield Farm

Year 3 had a wonderful time today at Broxfield farm in Northumberland. We started the day by going on a tractor ride into a field of cows, we saw mother cows feeding their baby calves! We then ventured into the fields and saw learnt how a combine harvester cuts the ears of wheat ready to be processed. We had a go at extracting the seeds itself – Mr Thompson made it look easy! Finally we made some lovely art inspired by the spirit of the forest.
