Year 5 – Autumn 1 Music

Year 5 are learning the song ‘Livin’ On A Prayer’, by the American Rock Band, Bon Jovi. The class have been listening and appraising other songs in the Rock genre. These have included ‘We Will Rock You’, ‘Rocking All Over The World’ and many more. We have looked at several types of Rock such as Classic Rock, Soft Rock, Heavy Metal and Modern Hard Rock. Most songs we have been learning about have been from the 1970’s and 80’s. Whilst learning about this genre we have been playing games and doing different musical activities to connect with the songs. We have also played the glockenspiels to Livin on a Prayer, working on our timing. Miss Hedley
