​​During the four weeks before Christmas, the whole school were in a competition to have the best attendance. Y5 won and were awarded with a trip to the cinema! We had the whole screen to ourselves and watched Zootropolis 2! It was so much fun, we laughed, danced and cheered on the heroes! Let's hope we win the next one!

What perfect timing! As we’ve been learning all about winter weather and the clothes we need to keep warm, the real winter chill arrived – and even brought snow! The children were thrilled to explore the snowy outdoors. They felt the crunch under their boots, noticed how cold the snow was, and shared brilliant ideas about why we wear coats, hats, scarves, and gloves in winter. Year 5 have started the year reminding ourselves about long multiplication! We have worked in trios each remembering a vital part of the steps and working out where our part needs to go.
