Today our amazing Year 5 pupils are at Grainger Market, Newcastle, selling the produce they have grown themselves as part of their School Food Matters project! The children have worked incredibly hard planting, nurturing and harvesting their crops, developing valuable enterprise and teamwork skills along the way. Year 1 have had a fantastic time designing and making a pencil pot to share with their partner. They each created a design and decorated one half of a tube each. Year 1 demonstrated great teamwork, patience and independence as they made their pencil pots. We secured our pencil pots with tape to make sure they were stable to hold 2 pencils. The children were delighted with their achievements and success.
