Year 1 - Object hunt

This week in science we have been learning all about objects and materials. The children learnt about 6 different material types and what an object is. We found out that an object is made from a material. After sorting different objects into the material they are made from, the children went around the classroom on an object hunt. They were looking for an object that is made from a material we have looked at. This opened up interesting discussions and the children realised that some objects can be made from more than one material.
