A visit from the dentists!

Year 4 had an exciting visit from our friends at Newcastle University’s Brush Up scheme today. We took part in a number of fantastic activities all about the science of keeping our teeth healthy.

We looked at the kind of equipment dentists use and dressed up in their protective clothing:

We used disclosing tablets to see how well we brush our teeth:

We were shocked to see how much sugar there is in some of our favourite foods and drinks!

And we learned all about how to brush our teeth properly:
