It has been very exciting in Reception this week!
On Monday we received an incubator and ten eggs from ‘Living Eggs – North East.
On Tuesday we observed the eggs hatching and greeted our first chick which the children named Sam I Am.
On Wednesday Sam was joined by another eight chicks!
On Thursday the final chick hatched and we were able to move them to a larger container. The children were also able to hold the chicks. I was very impressed with how gentle they were!
The children have also been having fun and learning through creating art, writing and maths challenges linked to the eggs and chicks.
