KS2 Parliament Assembly: British Values

Ahead of British Values Week, Key Stage 2 were lucky to be visited by Gillian, an outreach officer from the Houses of Parliament, for a very special assembly. Gillian taught us about democracy, the difference between the Houses of Commons and Lords, and how a Bill becomes an Act of Parliament. The children were very engaged, asked some brilliant questions and participated brilliantly in roleplaying the progress of a law through the two Houses of Parliament to receiving Royal assent.
