St Lawrence's took part in a Remembrance Day assembly this morning. All pupils were given a paper poppy which was purchased by school. All pupils also had the opportunity to buy items from the Poppy Appeal, including pencils, bag chains and snap bands.
In their French lesson this week, Year 6 learned how France celebrates Remembrance Day, and that they use a mix of poppies and cornflowers. Our wreath reflects the two colours.
On Monday, our Year 3 class were invited to take part in a Remembrance Service at St Michael's Church at The Lighthouse Project. The service was organised by Veterans Launchpad and the class were joined by local veterans.
