St Lawrence’s First Poetry Weeks

For the last two weeks, all of our KS1 and KS2 classes have been learning about poetry. They have written their own free verse poems and learnt how to perform poems using volume, rhythm, expression and actions.

This afternoon, each class performed one of the poems and some children even read their own free verse poems. We listened to some wonderful poems about animals, trees, forests and even chocolate cakes!
