Y4 make Greek Amphorae

To round off units in both Art and the Humanities, Year 4 made our very own Greek amphorae this week. We researched Ancient Greet art including the sculpture Discobulus by Myron and the Siren Vase from the British Museum’s collection, before designing and making our own versions. Our pots featured various Ancient Greek subjects including the Trojan horse. We made them by using acrylic paints on terracotta plant pots. The results are fantastic!
