Year 2 visited The Discovery Museum yesterday as part of our History work about The Great Fire of Newcastle and Gateshead.
We learnt all about the events of The Great Fire.
We acted out the events of the fire and we began to understand how the fire spread so quickly.
We handled real artefacts from the Victorian era. We particularly enjoyed dressing up!
We ended our workshop by making our own puppet show about The Great Fire of Newcastle and Gateshead.
What a fantastic day and we learnt so much about local history.
