Year 3 visit Broxfield Farm

This week we were lucky enough to visit Mr. Thompson’s farm, which has been very beneficial for our Animals including Humans science topic.

We learned all about how farmers like Mr. Thompson grow food that is essential for our diet such as wheat, and how seeds can be milled to make flour. We also learned about the diets of cows, and how they can produce food for us, too. We learned about all the animals and insects that lived in the woodland and under the soil and we created a suitable habitat for our very own pine cone creatures.

We had a great day and would love to visit again!
