Year 3 had a wonderful time visiting Segedunum Roman Fort to develop their understanding of prehistory. The morning began by creating a human timeline to support their chronological understanding. The children dressed as characters from different ages, for example, a Neolithic farmer and a Palaeolithic person. Next, they handled replica and real objects linked to the Stone Age. Then they learnt about how people lived during the Bronze Age and took part in weaving a wattle fence. Finally, they designed their own Iron Age tribe name and dressed up as Iron Age people.
