Year 3 with their new Year 6 reading buddies!

Last week, Year 3 and Year 6 teamed up for a new reading buddy system.

Twice a week, the Year 6’s will be helping the Year 3’s with their reading. They are getting lots of practise at blending unfamiliar words, retelling their story and practising high frequency words.

So far, Year 3 have really enjoyed this system and we are already starting to see small reading improvements. Some of us are even getting extra practise at breakfast club!
