Year 6 had a successful morning learning how to stay safe in a host of different real-life scenarios.
Safetyworks, run by Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service, gave children the opportunity to practice skills such as road safety, how to use the metro and how dangerous bin fires can be in the community.
In addition, they were reminded about how to take care around water and be aware around stray dogs in the community.
The children loved the chance to act out each scene, including how to use the Metro safely when they start High School.
